THE MARK THAT APPEARED AFTER FLIGHT

I was in my room in a house that was much larger than my real home, with multiple large bedrooms.

I was lying on my bed and suddenly felt myself levitating. Then I was several feet off the ground. I got scared, but I could feel myself trying to control gravity and direct where I was going. I started flying all around the room.

Eventually I managed to bring myself back down.

I walked past a room where I think a friend was sleeping, so I went to her sister’s room because the light was on and she was awake. I tried telling her what happened. She entertained the story but I could tell she didn’t believe me. Of course I couldn’t do it again.

But I had a mark on my body that I showed her. She knew it hadn’t been there before. It looked like an imprint that was permanent, like a tattoo without ink.

It was a snake with its tongue out and split at the tip, curled into a shape. She said it definitely wasn’t there the day before. She started coloring it with blue eyeshadow so we could get an imprint since we couldn’t draw.
