The Mansion City

I was driving back to a place.

The road went down a hill and curved around.

From the top of the hill I could see everything like a map.

There were markers showing destinations.

A car was parked on the side of the road.

A man was standing beside it writing something down.

I passed him instead of waiting.

I was heading toward a tree to retrieve something.

The tree was old with cobwebs and a small creature living on it.

The whole dream felt like a series of missions, but I never understood what the mission actually was.

Later I returned to a massive Victorian mansion city that I’ve seen before in dreams.

It had many layers: schools, restaurants, and buildings all inside the larger structure.

I climbed through different floors trying to reach somewhere.

Outside there was a courtyard with grass and light poles.

I saw a dark figure but it didn’t see me.

I eventually climbed the outside of the mansion.

While climbing I saw my mother inside one of the rooms reading.

We both closed a door at the same time.

She looked out the window and saw me climbing.

I smiled at her and kept going.
