The Family That Came Back to the House
Dream recorded: 9/28/2026
I was in my grandma’s house again.
I was meeting with my whole family, but not all of them had come yet. I had people with me.
There was more to this dream. I can only remember before I woke up.
I was in another room, a different room, the room I grew up in that’s adjacent, well, kind of a little bit behind my grandmother’s room.
It was another room, like where the guest room was. It was an extra room where the bathroom was.
We were in that room, and my uncle showed up.
I hadn’t seen him in so long.
I hugged him outside that new room.
He said that I was just gone. He looked for me after he saw me last, and I wasn’t there anymore.
And I was like, “Yeah, I don’t live here, silly. I traveled.”
Then we walked into my old room that used to be there, but it had a bathroom in it and looked like an apartment instead of a room.
He was talking about smoking, and I was like, “I don’t do it anymore.”
But we were looking for my other uncle.
He was supposed to have been here hours ago, and he’s like, “I know he’s smoking.”
And I was like, “Well, there’s no excuse. You should be able to smoke and get your shit together like me.”
And he was like, “I know.”
I said, “I’m in my 40s. You have to know how to play and work. He’s got no excuse.”
And there was something I threw away in the room’s new bathroom, something sticky.
That’s when I noticed the room change and the garbage. It was overflowing, so I smashed down the garbage so it didn’t look so full, like it was my place.
Then I laid on the bed, and he was unwrapping something, taking clothes out of his suitcase.
It felt good to be around family.
I haven’t seen them in so many years.
He looked good and happy.
Upset at me, but more happy to see me.
