THE CITY OF COSTLY PARKING AND DEAD BIRDS

I was in New York or a city like it with two other people and someone I knew. We needed to go shopping, so I must have been visiting because I didn’t know the city. It was packed like New York but different.
We went to a parking lot and had to pay $68 for a parking spot. There was another spot for washing where we could have taken the car. The car we were in had a bunch of clothes in the back. One girl said we could lie and make it seem like those were the clothes we washed, but I felt like there were cameras and that we would get towed. So I volunteered to pay.
I got a bag of vulture-like birds, whole but dead. I think there were six. Then we stopped to get chicken meat and other food for me to cook.
When we got back I put the vultures on the carpet and had to clean up all the blood and mess I made. The birds had black-and-white faces and long yellow feet. I don’t think they had wings.
Dream two: I was on a campus and my ex was there, or someone who looked a lot like him—dark-skinned, a little taller than me, with a pot belly. Some kids were smoking and I declined, though I wanted to. He noticed I declined and said I could smoke if I wanted.
I needed to meet him at my place, but first I had to meet another friend of his. Someone was giving me directions, but I realized they didn’t really know what they were talking about. I also didn’t have my phone, but I eventually found it. The guy I was going to meet gave me instructions on how to get to his room.
Later I was driving and waited until late at a high speed to make a turn. My car slid all the way into the other lane, but there were no cars and I was able to do a U-turn on the highway and keep driving like nothing happened.
I stopped at a store. To my left there was a video store like a Blockbuster, and I was in front of a restaurant.
Then I went to a place that must have been mine. The guy with the weed came by and we talked. I forgot to give him money, so he came back again. I opened the door and ran to get the money. Someone came up behind me and grabbed me from behind. I instantly reacted and when I looked back it was my boyfriend. He was happy, but I was mad that another man had been touching me.
