THE BOMBS AND THE INVISIBILITY CLOSET

I was working in a vet clinic surrounded by other vet techs and people. We were really busy and understaffed.

Then I woke up to bombs going off. I somehow knew it was going to happen. The sound was crippling and distorted my equilibrium, but I was able to crawl to a window. I saw so many people walking toward homes and heard screaming.

I hid in a closet. I felt like someone else might have been with me, but I wasn’t sure.

I was able to hide successfully. People entered the place where I was, but they didn’t see me. A man was talking, and all I could see was him from the waist down, his pants and legs. It was like I had an invisibility cloak. I could see everyone in the room…kids, women, and men but they couldn’t see me.

Then I woke up.
