The Plant That Grew From a Drawing

I received a drawing and said out loud, “That looks like me.”

Then a strange plant appeared. I went outside and was in some kind of village that looked like an Iron Age or Renaissance setting, but in the future, with very advanced technology.

A man was hauling away another man who was dark-skinned, very tall, and not fully human-looking.

I went back to my office or house and the plant had disappeared. I couldn’t find it. Then I saw it hanging from the top of the door frame to a room with my computer equipment in it.

It had grown very large very quickly and smelled like death. It had long tentacle-like branches with claws and suckers.

I managed to get into the computer room, but one of the branch-tentacles grabbed me by the hair and I had to cut my hair to get free.

It killed the pets I had.

Then people started coming and I had to explain what was happening. A female friend or coworker looked at the same drawing and said it looked like her.

I told her not to say that because I had said that and the alien plant appeared. As soon as she said it, another one appeared.

The plant could talk and grow a mouth.

It grabbed me and everything changed.

I went back outside and realized I had returned to an older time. The same man hauling away the giant dark-skinned figure was there again.

This time I set the giant figure free. His head started shaking at an abnormal speed and I woke up.
